The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) 2022 Emmy Awards for Creative Arts and Lifestyle were handed out in a ceremony broadcast live on Saturday.

Netflix topped all platforms and networks with nine wins, while CBS and PBS took home three awards each.

The syndicated talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show earned five wins in craft categories for lighting direction; technical team, camera work and video; edit multiple cameras; live sound mixing and editing; and art direction/directing/stage design. The Drew Barrymore Showalso syndicated, won two awards for Special Effects Costumes, Makeup & Hair, and Costume Design/Styling. The Ellen Degeneres Showwhich recently wrapped up its senior season, won for its writing staff.

by Netflix penguin town won three awards for its Outstanding Travel, Adventure and Nature Program, Sound Mixing and Editing, and Cinematography. The streamer cat people, First Movie, Headspace: Guide to Meditation, Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo and You vs. Wild: Out Cold also won awards.

PBS Home Improvement Series This old housewhich just completed its 42nd season, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Shelter Me: Soul Awakenedhosted by John Legend, also won two awards.

Presenters who took part in the Creative Arts & Lifestyle ceremony, held in person at the Pasadena Convention Center, included Conscious livingby Michael & Bianca Alexander, Taken in Providenceof Judge Frank Caprio, Love glory and beautyis Jennifer Gareis, days of our lives and Beyond Salemis Raven Bowens, general hospitalby Tajh Bellow and The young and the restless‘Kate Linder.

The ceremony is the first since the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and the Television Academy jointly announced plans in December to realign the Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards to be organized by genre of content, as opposed to time of program antenna. Additionally, in recognition of the marked increase in content and entries for children’s programming, 2022 will mark the first annual Emmy Awards for Kids and Family, with relevant categories separating from the Daytime Emmys in their own competition and ceremony.

The 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will air live at 9 p.m. EDT/delayed West Coast at 9 PDT Friday, June 24 on CBS and stream on Paramount+. Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner will host the ceremony.
