‘Namoo’, ‘Eternals: AR Story Experience’ Top PGA Innovation Award Nominations
LOS ANGELES- Today, the Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced the nominees for the PGA Innovation Award ahead of the 33rd Annual Producers Guild Awards. The PGA Innovation Award recognizes the production of a remarkable and impactful new media program that significantly enhances the viewing experience for audiences.
The 2022 PGA Innovation Award recipient, along with the PGA Award winners in the Short Form, Sports and Children’s categories will be announced at the New York Nominees Celebration on Monday, March 14 at Bryant Park Grill Garden (25 West 40th Street). This event will be sponsored by Cadillac and GreenSlate.
The PGA awards ceremony will take place on the evening of Saturday, March 19 at the Fairmont Century Plaza. The winners of the Innovation Award, as well as the Short Form, Sports and Children categories, will also be highlighted during the Ceremony.
The nominees for the 2022 PGA Innovation Award are listed below in alphabetical order. The PGA will honor the program as a whole, rather than individual producers. As such, producers in these programs are not required to go through the award eligibility determination process.

Such work may reflect a reinvention or reworking of existing concepts and approaches in a new way, or may be an entirely new type of experience.
Applications are reviewed by a nominating committee and reviewed and voted on by a top-notch jury of experts. Programs broadcast between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 were eligible for this honor.
“As the PGA Innovation Award enters its third year, we are continually amazed by the creative and technological advancements that each of our nominees represents,” said Eric W. Shamlin, Chair of the PGA Innovation Award Committee and Jury. “We are honored to shine a light on the incredible artists and production teams who not only define excellence in the immersive medium, but also introduce audiences around the world to the emotional and narrative magic that these experiences present.”
In 2019, the PGA awarded the first PGA Innovation Award to the team behind Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series – Episode 1. Last year, the team behind BRCvran official virtual Burning Man experience hosted on AltSpaceVR, received the award.
