Showrunner & EP Eric Wallace explained how this potentially huge Easter egg that surfaced when Bart (Jordan Fisher) and Nora (Jessica ParkerKennedy) visited the 2049 Flash Museum during the season opener “Impulsive Excessive Disorder” and why this season’s finale might be “a little wilder and maybe a little more terrifying” than viewers were expecting accustomed:
Yes, it was Donald Faison’s Booster Gold that you saw in this title: “It was just kind of a funny coincidence. I was in post working on episode 806 and I knew the kids, Bart and Nora, would be watching things coming to the Flash Museum. And the post chief for our show and for ‘Legends’ is the same person, Geoff Garrett. He mentioned, ‘Oh, by the way, don’t tell anyone, but Booster Gold is going to appear in the ‘Legends’ finale. I’m a big fan of Booster Gold, and I was like, ‘Hey, did they pick that person yet? I have a crazy thought. What if we see our kids in this episode flipping through the newspapers and we see who you picked really quickly, a kind of connected thing? And he said, “Well, it’s funny you mention that, Eric, because the ‘Legends’ finale airs the week before ‘Flash’ comes back.”
Want clues about the Season 8 finale ‘Hardcore’ and ‘Intense’? It’s time to rewatch “Armageddon”: “Look at these things. If you want to prepare for the new season, go back and watch ‘Armageddon’ again on the CW app. We had a master plan and ‘Armageddon’ was only the first part of three If you want to split the season into three: “Armageddon,” Part One; The Middle Graphic Novel, Part Two; and [then] our grand finale in which we’re not trying to outdo ourselves from last year. We’re trying to do something a little different, a little wilder and maybe a little more terrifying. Team Flash is about to go through some very intense times. I am not joking. It’s about to get hardcore.”
