Thor Love and Thunder LEGO Set, Merchandise Reveals Story Details
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness looks like this will be Marvel’s most serious movie since Infinity War. But a few months later we get Thor: Love and Thunderthe second Taika Waititi Thor movie, and even brief glimpses make it even crazier than Ragnarok. But, of course, as stupid as Ragnarok was sometimes, it was still quite deep. And since they adapt Jason Aaron’s thunder god arc and later works…expect it to bring tears to your eyes. But fear not, because we are getting magic goats carrying tanks! Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr are finally making their MCU debuts. But how did we find out? Because Marvel revealed some of the Thor: Love and Thunder merchandise, including a LEGO set too awesome not to buy.
What do we learn from Thor: Love and Thunder LEGO set?
First of all, it’s not a tank anymore. It’s a boat. THE GOAT BOAT. This is the official name of the ship that Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr drag behind them. But we also learn a few other essential details. First of all, it looks like Korg will have a bigger presence, having become a fan favorite in Ragnarok and End of Game. We also have confirmation that Gorr is the villain. Gorr’s thing is to kill gods. But since Ragnarok decimated the Asgardian population, then Thanos killed half of the remaining refugees before Infinity War even started… he doesn’t have much left to kill, as far as Asgardians go.
However, there’s something even more important about Gorr the Godbutcher’s minifigure in the Thor: Love and Thunder LEGO set. More precisely, an accessory. He is holding an important Marvel Comics artifact called the Necrosword. This is related to one of Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credits scenes. In the comics, Knull, god of symbiotes, wields the mighty weapon. And now there’s a symbiote in the MCU. But there is more ! The Necrosword also ties Thor: Love and Thunder to the second Eternals post-credits scene! In this scene, we see Dane Whitman about to touch the ebony blade, which gives off an eerie symbiote-like shimmer. Knull desperately wants this blade. I think we can no longer speculate from this Thor: Love and Thunder LEGO set and merchandise? You must be new here. welcome to comic yearswhere our EiC encourages us to embark on deep dives.
We haven’t seen the last of Venom in the MCU, and Sony + Marvel Studios are heading for a king in black movie. We have symbiote dragons, gang.
the Thor: Love and Thunder LEGO Set and Merchandise tells us a lot about Jane Foster too
But the most important thing we learn from Thor: Love and Thunder The LEGO set is something we already knew. Well, sort of. We knew Jane Foster would take Mjolnir (or some version of it). However, the minifig is not named Jane Foster – his The Mighty Thor. Marvel Studios doesn’t dance around the name. Natalie Portman plays (the mighty) Thor. And she finally has MCU products that aren’t a diamond-picking “toy.” Yet we learn a lot more, not from the LEGO set but from the action figures and interactive toys.
In Thor: Love and Thunder, Jane Foster will lift Mjolnir and become the Mighty Thor, and a badass LEGO minifig. But when we last saw Mjolnir, the stunningly sexy Hela was crushing it with one hand while she smiled at Thor. However, Marvel found other ways to include the magic hammer. While traveling through time in Asgard, Thor retrieved an ancient version of Mjolnir, which Captain America later used, but also returned when Thor took it. Yet we also open up the multiverse. So it could be any Mjolnir. But this is not the case. Check out the toy below:

Jane isn’t holding a Mjolnir from a different reality, and she isn’t a Jane Foster from elsewhere in the multiverse. She’s our Jane. Original Natalie Portman. And how do we know that? Do you see it? Here’s an even better look at Mjolnir that we couldn’t see in the Thor: Love and Thunder Lego set:
(Picture: Hasbro Toys)
This is the Mjolnir broken by Hela in Thor: Rangnarok and left in pieces where Odin died. We don’t yet know how it was reforged, but we bet it has something to do with Jane Foster. Also, to further emphasize that she is the Powerful Thor, she’s dressed in the most accurate Thor costume we’ve ever had. As you can see in the image, Thor has some new misfires as well. His figure comes with Stormbreaker, and his character name is just listed as Thor. So, it’s clear that going forward in the MCU, Chris Hemsworth will play Thor Odinson, while Natalie Portman’s character will be known as Mighty Thor. The question is, how long with Chris Hemsworth playing this character?
And yeah, this is all a long way from just looking at toys and a LEGO set, but does anyone else think Thor doesn’t make it to the end of love and thunder? We’ll have to wait to find out.
